Ashley K. Kerr

Ashley Kerr grew up in Columbia and has been a lifelong resident of South Carolina. She is a 2010 graduate of Princeton University, where she majored in Political Science. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. As a law student, she worked as an intern for the executive level of the South Carolina state government. Additionally, she was appointed to the Dean’s Leadership Advisory Board and was awarded the title of the most outstanding editor for the Journal of Law and Education. She graduated early from the University of South Carolina School of Law in December 2012. After law school, she successfully passed the Bar examination and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in May 2013.

Ashley began her legal career in business, international, and immigration law, while she simultaneously used her entrepreneurial skills to help develop and expand the firm’s legal practice. She joined the team at Ogletree Deakins in August 2014, where her primary practice areas are immigration and international law.

In addition to achieving success in her professional career, Ashley enjoys maintaining a healthy lifestyle by participating in a variety of athletic endeavors. She was a member of her high school’s two-time state championship Varsity Tennis Team, where she was also named Captain and the Most Valuable Player. At Princeton, she continued to play on the tennis team in addition to rowing crew and becoming a cheerleader. She is a lifelong practitioner of martial arts. She has won multiple championships, including becoming a three-time World Karate Black Belt Champion and AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) All-American, and she is an internationally recognized Master Instructor.
